Carrabba's Italian Grill Chesapeake

I love Carrabas, but they are not all the same. Our wait person Tyree was excellent. Thank you girl. Took my grandbabies to have a little quality time. The restaurant is small. Light modern look to it. The rest rooms were clean. That's a big deal to me. The food was good. We started eating b4 I could snap a picture of the food. Grandson had shrimp linguini and he love how cheesy it was. Granddaughter had lasagne and truffle fries. She was happy. I had Pollo Rosa Maria. Itwas okay, a small amount of penne pasta was served. But none the less we took home boxes. Also took dessert ???? to go. Strawberry cheesecake. OMG it was huge. Thanks ya'll ????

I LOVE Italian food, so when I received a gift card for carrabas I was excited. I haven 't had a meal out since before the pandemic began so you can imagine how much excitement I had to get a restaurant dinner. My husband and I ordered online and he went to pick it up (15 minutes away). When he got home and we opened the food, I was immediately disappointed. The breaded cheese sticks were cold and rubbery but I chalked it up to too long a drive. Thankfully the salad wascrisp and seemingly fresh, but when I opened what was supposed to be my chicken Alfredo my heart sank. Where was the creamy Alfredo? My Alfredo looked and tasted more like butter noodles, with a *hint* of Alfredo sauce. The chicken was okay(bit too salted for my tastes but that 's subjective). Glad it was a gift card and not my hard earned money because that was the saddest meal I 've had in a long time. Also gave my husband an upset stomach. You can 't hide the lack of keyingredients by adding more salt: they clearly tried but it is shamefully obvious. Save your money. Go elsewhere for Italian. Despite being packed, service tonight was prompt efficient, but most of all, cordial and welcoming. The quality of preparation was very good, as was presentation.

Showed up between lunch and dinner time and there was absolutely no wait time which was wonderful. Seated quickly we had our drinks in front of us in a matter of a few minutes and peruse through the menu because a lot had changed since the last time I was there which was at least 10 years ago. Meet our choices and the food was delivered quickly piping hot and looking phenomenal. The taste and smells for incredible... Reminded me very much of being at Sunday dinner at mygreat-grandmother's house years and years ago. Great authenticity in the flavor and the presentation and the service was impeccable. Will be going back again very soon.
