Baby had pork. Your own wine, Byob. Service was excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. Background music very soothing. After dinner the owner cried to us with a free tea. We don't know tea, but it was a nice gesture. Recommend this restaurant in all categories!
Food was good, but a little expensive. An employee (not sure what his role was) swore several times over our table and stood there in silence until we told him something. He got into our conversation a few times. It was extremely unpleasant.
We had a delicious lunch. Soup with lobsters were fabulous. We also had boneless spare ribs and they were also very good. We shared shrimps with vegetables and fried rice. Everything was delicious. I'm glad to go back to dinner.
Xmas Eve is a traditional busy night for Chinese restaurants. This place was not all that packed yet at 6 pm they already were running low on Chinese noodles and out of sweet and sour chicken. The service was very slow took us an hour to get our meal. The ribs ordered for our appetizer were cold. The waiter came infrequently. We didn’t get a warm feeling from the staff and heard the owner arguing with a customer. Not a holiday spirit! We had been here before and enjoyed our meal but they were totally unprepared for a bust holiday night not a good excuse as the place was not terribly busy. I suspect a cook did not show?
The tea ceremony is very special and a great experience. There is no other restaurant in the area offering it. Peter, the ultra-knowledgeable host, is a font of information, which is fascinating. Well worth the time and money. The food is excellent, as is the service. This restaurant is a local gem.
