We started with a fresh lemonade and a fresh mojito. Our waitress also brought us water and illuminated the candle on our table. My husband asked about the fried pimples we heard about because he had no since we were vegan. They were not on the menu, but the owner/cook made us anyway and they were INCREDIBLE. While we waited for the fresh to be made, my husband had French onion soup with smoked vegan gouda and house made bread. I had her vegan lobster bisque. Let me tell you, this was the first time I had something “Seafood” since vegan became and this New England girl almost lost her eyelashes on the table it was SO good! For most people, that was probably enough food, but we still had our entrees to go! Next, my salad and garlic bread were brought to the table. The salad had a kind of delicious berry vinaigrette and some homemade well-kept onions, while the house made garlic bread would have let my Italian mica come back from the tomb to eat! For our entrees, my husband had the juicy, tasteful double-decker Cheeseburger and crispy Pommes while I read the tears again about my vegan seafood... So creamy, rich and just divine with a crispy cheese on top. Spoiler Alarm: I couldn't finish it! We took the rest of our food to go and ordered some cheesecake and butter pecan cake to go with brown butter sauce! While this was arranged, we had the pleasure to meet the owner and boss himself, Ms. Carlyn Saunders, who with us about veganism, their history, the history of the Bed

My partner and I had heard about this restaurant not far from our home in Florence, AL and decided to try it on a whim for lunch. The restaurant was cozy and offered a variety of vegan comfort food options. We started our meal with a fresh lemonade and a mojito. Our waitress also brought us water and lit a candle on our table. My partner asked about the fried pickles we had heard about, even though he knew they weren't on the menu for vegans. The owner/chef made us a special version and they were amazing. While we waited for our food, my partner had French onion soup with smoked vegan gouda and homemade bread, while I had the vegan lobster bisque. It was my first time having something seafood-like since becoming vegan and it was fantastic. Next, our salads and garlic bread were brought out. The salad had a delicious berry vinaigrette and homemade croutons, while the garlic bread was heavenly. For our main courses, my partner had a juicy double deck cheeseburger with crispy fries, and I enjoyed a decadent vegan seafood lasagna. We took the leftovers home and also ordered cheesecake and butter pecan cake with brown butter sauce to go. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and chef, Carlyn Saunders, who spoke with us about veganism and their history.
The dining experience is elevated by a chef with years of experience in vegan cooking. The staff is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy. A definite must-visit!
