Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul

After pandemic, I went Penang main branch to eat their famous Cendol after few yrs lock down . I found they double up the price from 2 become 4 This not important coz everything price go up . Some shop even can't buy nice red bean . Then I found out , the best red bean they have , become smashed red bean even don't have the bean sharp ... I cry. N say don't want go Penang anymore . Then weather too hot with haze , I buy one is Rm 7 A bit pricy .. then is very very big bowl almost double size from Penang THATS IS MY TASTE! 我初恋的感觉。 My first love taste . I very happy still maintain the taste at branch . .I know they have van sell this . After the boss son attend some courses , their service change . Always came here for the dessert, especially the Chendol. A bit sweet but they're generous with all the ingredients. What I like about here is their staff are very open to adding ingredients to make the perfect Chendol as per requested.

Always crave for the cendol here. The cendol taste is quite consistent. Gave the Penang chee cheong fun a try today. Can taste that the chee cheong fun is not fresh and just taken out from the microwave oven. Texture is hard and powdery. Very bad experience. Hope they could improve on their food quality.

Good place, good price n service.. I like both ice kacang and chendul.. Worth the price n worth to try..

Cendol was nice but the noodles weren't especially the asam laksa as the soup was very diluted.
