Chester's - Chepachet

The food is fantastic, and the waitstaff are incredible. Delicious!

I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday and we started with mussels as an appetizer. They were delicious, although I would have appreciated a few more mussels since there were quite a few empty shells. The sauce that accompanied them was fantastic. I ordered a steak salad with the house balsamic dressing, which was really tasty. My boyfriend had a steak with blue cheese garlic butter sauce, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The green beans were a bit disappointing, but overall, the meals were great, and the service was excellent. A big shout-out to Stephanie for her wonderful service!

I just tried the brand new menu and everything was fantastic! The bourbon soup was excellent and the wraps were super fresh. Plus, the beer was served ice cold! The atmosphere was comfortable and the establishment was clean. You definitely need to give this place a try—once you do, you'll want to come back for more!

This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. It felt like I was having dinner in a dirty garage, surrounded by outdated wood paneling. The waitstaff seemed completely clueless, and I would rate the food a 1 out of 10. I’m shocked the health department hasn’t closed this place down yet. Sorry, Chesters, but it’s time to modernize. It’s not the 1970s anymore. I’m just sharing my honest experience. You need to improve or you might not last much longer!

Chester's is the best. I suffer from food allergies specifically migraines but I never get a headache when I eat at Chester's because the food is so fresh and made from scratch. At lunch there is a soup station that always has the best soups. Other items on the menu that we like: chicken Marsala, scrod francaise and the rt 44 Turkey sandwich. Don't pass this one by if you are in the area. You will be sure to be happy you stopped and there's always a warm welcome.
