Su Shan Mian - Chengdu

Average price for a dish is about 12rmb, and most come in two sizes (small, large.) beautiful little interieur, with pictures and minimal decorations nothing imaginative, but eating a certain winner. I ordered a dish of dumplings that were delicious. unleashed from the main road, worth a visit when they are close.

The ladies who run this small yet cozy vegan restaurant are friendly and attentive. The options are many and relatively healthy as the red oil is not as heavy as in other establishments of a similar ilk. The wonton soup is delicious as is the miso noodle dish. We bought some dishes for take away for our trip from Chengdu to Kunming. We decided to go with the spicy dumplings (13 Yuan) and the sweet noodles (7 Yuan). We didn’t really like the noodles, they taste just like noodles with cardamom. But the dumplings were the best we ever had. Very spicy, but delicious The stuff was so nice to us and the communication via translator was no problem at all.

The owner is super nice and so is everyone else working there. The prices are very affordable for the great vegan food offered. Here I had my first ever vegan dumplings in china and will never change the taste with any other ones I’ve tried already.

Very cheap, very tasty, easily located. Best metro station to get there: Chunxi Road, take exit E2 and cross the adjacent road. It’s 3 minutes walk from there. The location on the map is precise.
