Siam Spicy - Cheltenham

We are locals and haven’t been here for a very long time. Now I know what we what we have been missing for so long. The food, service and ambience was perfect. We had the chilli fish, Penang chicken curry and Asian greens. All dishes were delicious, served hot and quickly. We look forward to going again soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It seems Spicy Siam is hit and miss. We have eaten before and had a good experience with the food. Quite impressed. Now we have got a take away and its the opposite. Prawn Tom Yum soup with quite tough and very whole prawns. Who puts a whole unshelled prawn into a soup? By the time you have fished them out , pulled the heads and tails off and cleaned the scales you've somewhat lost the appetite for the soup. Tough Chicken in our Stir Fry and vegetables that were very al dente suggesting they may have been frozen before going into the meal I have seen this comment on 1 star reviews before for this place). Summary if you get the right night it will be nice and if not then not so much. Am I wrong to not expect two tough uncleaned prawns in my Tom Yung ???? For nearly $100 for dinner we could have done better.
