Contribuiți la feedbackEvaluation of la cucina, beaumaris, victoria there were 16 of us on two tables – people with mutual interest in all the Italians from our regular u3a language classes per week – including a handful spouse/partner meeting about the lunch in la cucina. where better to celebrate the end of the spring; the upcoming end of the year celebration “Natale Capodanno” and this pause from the routine that comes with the knowledge that 2023 is little more than a month away amazing. the current year is everything, but finished. we had the offer of teaching and teaching and the composition of the two signore professors, who were each responsible for the two classes – beginning and intermediate students – which were held with friendly permission from zoom. (this included the novelty that several lections were led by a holiday home in queensland. home based lessons then with the students in two-dimensional format in a raster over the screen. zoom was a social life-saving, but it remains second best to be in the presence of real people. but it worked and with minimal wall during the middle winter months. it was comfortable. a common meal, however, brings “real life”. it brings all these social benefits that come from the person – to see new people for the first time, who have joined the class in the run of the year, for the long souls and those who simply enjoy the friendship that comes from socialization in Italian. we had two parallel tables to share, with people who moved between the two, when the different plates where cleaned, dolce and/or coffee were served, and the people were hesitant to finish the meal. I should add that the restaurant has a booking policy for a period of two hours (by logs, which can then be used by the same institutions of others. the outdoor garden/terrace on the back was delightful – shaded, private, quiet and, above all, ideal for those of us with the recommendations of eating al fresco/distancing by other re covid 19 precautions. it was our third such lunch of the year and all the more pleasant with all, some bright (if cold sunny weather this day and the magnificent al fresco setting of la cucina with Italian kitchen and a glass wine pending. the dings are not much better. the waiting staff gave the menus around and then moved to the rest, 10 minutes later with pads and pencils at the ready. the drinks arrived, followed by eating. Perhaps it had helped to come early and before the midday, with the speed of delivery we enjoyed. u3a menschen are by definition on the mature side and with appetites, which are in smaller meal times, typical of antipasti, or adept in the distribution of meal / food such as salate, bruschetta, focaccia with divided contorni. for two of us the choice was a simple one – a few pizze: “Salsiccia” and “Porcini” – much more than we usually eat for lunch in view of the size of the pizza, but with the easy possibility to eat the uneaten part of the pizza this evening. we did. we paid $52 for our meals. there is a hint to the traditions/text behind the la cucina served with the eating puglia and se italy. South Italy has always been a melting pot of kitchens that have arrived with the waves of migrants from the surrounding Central Sea countries. they see this served in the pizza, for example. in the south, for example, is the basic of the pizza relatiw thick and surrounded by a cloby crust that offers a firm hold (and ideal for street food sales . like the pizza that la cucina served us. (we cut our pizza into stable triangular wedges and ate by hand. in rom, in comparison, we were grown used to pizze from pastries, which has always been well rolled, making a thin base with little or no edge when cooked and ready to use. nothing is, however, still, and least all the pleasant foods for example, with “pizza al taglio” pizza baked in rectangular tablets and by personal choice of layer/size/type/tipps/etc. fast win in popularity nationwide. talking about the tables after the meal, someone mentioned the time limit of the cars that parked outside – no one seemed safe – which essentially closed the tables down and a quick shift to the services against paying for the meal. that said the drench seemed to look away as soon as the people were standing on the pavement in front of the restaurant, nor spoke and refused to call it a day. it was a pleasant social opportunity good eating, attentive waiting staff, a fine setting and reasonable cost. peter stahl 06dezember2022
I've read the latest reviews of this restaurant since we haven't been here yet. Maybe the youngest review was that the service was very poor once, who knows, but we had a great experience. we went to a Sunday night and thought it would be quiet, but when we arrived, the place was busy. the menu is very extensive and it is available both inside and outside. the food was exceptional (we had a risotto pescatore, another risotto and a bark ragu.) also the desert (which we should not have because we were so full after our or escaped and net) was delicious gelato and rich, chocolate cake. the prices are about $25 30 averaged for a pornstar that is very reasonable when considering the quality of food is exceptional. and the first service! very attentive, especially when they were busy, but also friendly. located directly in the heart of the concourse, this italian is a must!
Eat in order, wee ok, service very poor...Thursday night, cold evening we were forced to drink wee outside, although we are more than $700
3 of us went to lunch on Saturday and were impressed by the friendly welcome and service. the eating was authentic italian, I had made minestrone suppe as it should be with a lot of garden sweet yam! we shared a margherita pizza that...was tasty and a plate of the cook selection antipasti caldi (warm) like fried olive, arancini, calamari, meatballs, fried pancetta, aioli. the coffee was fantastic, so a great experience in the whole round, would certainly recommend la cucina to anyone who wants real food and great service.
Lots of staff moving about but doing little. Long wait for drinks food. My veal was cold. Pity as used to be ok but 8 of us not going back
