The Clarence Social - Cheltenham

My friends and I went to this restaurant after New Year's. I was unhappy with the level of service we received. The manager, Emma, appeared to be drunk. When I tried to voice my concerns, she was rude and even threatened me aggressively. The staff seemed disorganized and failed to address our needs. I emailed the owner about my experience but never received a response. It's a shame that the quality of the restaurant has declined since the previous owners left.

Previously called and although the cocktail bar was closed down below, there were many good sitting opportunities in the main area of the bar. this is a smart place with a noble atmosphere. the cocktails were a cut up, I'm pretty sure I had a flamingo and. the small bird on my drink remained recommended until the end there.

We just had a great evening here at a short visit to cheltenham. great, innovative food really well made. good wine list. friendly mood. excellent professional service (danke sara! they have actually made our evening). we are coming back

Went out as a group of got there to find only option on menu was cheeseburger or onion bhaji burger. Waited for drinks. Miserable staff. Unisex toilets, vomit all over the floor. Was really looking forward to a night out but extremely disappointed.

We went to Clarence for lunch and tried their new menu. We were greeted with a friendly and warm welcome at the door. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We opted for dishes from the A La Carte menu. The hummus was fresh and delicious, with a generous portion. My colleague enjoyed the mozzarella and tomato doughnuts. I had the salmon and my colleague had the lamb, both of which were presented beautifully and were of high quality. We definitely plan on returning. Clarence has a great reputation and we highly recommend it. LP AF
