Cheltenham Art Gallery Museum Cafe

We popped in here before going around the gallery and were very pleased by the quality of the coffee and the range of cakes/pastries available, including some unusual favours to add to the interest. Some other light-bites were available. Service was friendly and helpful.

I’m never disappointed when I have coffee and cake here. Food is always fresh and coffee is excellent. The lunch specials are well priced and very good quality thoroughly recommended. Cafe can get chilly in Winter when the glass sliding doors open and let in a blast of cold air!

After visiting the museum, or taking a break during your visit, you can relax over a good cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) and sample the large selection of cakes. There is limited seating on the ground floor but a much larger area on the first floor and having placed your order the staff willingly bring your order to your table.

If I am meeting friends in Cheltenham I am always happy to lunch at the Museum. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly and the food has never disappointed.

The museum featured quite a lot of furniture. Much of it local Art Deco. Interesting and familiar. Seeing a lovely chair or dresser seems easier to relate to than many more exotic museum exhibits. Takes about an hour to do. Nice cafe to finish off with.
