I had organized teams of military members to deliver it to the five households with a pick up time of 1100. The restaurant took my order and took my money of course but did not bother telling me the hours of the restaurant had changed to open at noon. Finally around 1130 after half my volunteers had to leave one lone employee showed up to open the restaurant. We ordered individually plated meals and apple pie but instead got containers of food and prepackaged brownies. Which is not acceptable for the homes we were delivering to.At no point did I receive an email asking me if I would accept substitutions or about the restaurant not being open.
I couldn’t believe how awful everything was. Let’s cover this in sections:1. As soon as we arrive at the restaurant, the place was completely empty. The new chicken restaurant next door was bustling. That, right out of the gate, should’ve been a sign. The floor was dirty, and the trash can didn’t fit in the cabinet, so the door was open. That’s not something you want to see while eating.2. The options were extremely limited. Not just entrees, but also sides and especially beverages. The soda fountain was inoperable, and iced tea was unavailable. All they had was bottled water and Diet Coke. That’s it!3. The food was absolutely disgusting. The “country fried chicken” was a frozen patty they just zapped in the microwave. It was rubbery, dry, and there was NO gravy available. The corn bread was dry and hard. The broccoli was sopping wet with no crispness at all. The food was served in styrofoam to-go boxes. This was one of the bottom three restaurants I’ve been to, and the WORST for food, ever. In the 40 years I’ve been alive, I’ve never had such an awful meal at a restaurant. With so many pretty good options on Drum Hill, this one has zero competitive edge to stay around.
Food was so terrible, mashed potato too dry, and there was no gravy in here. Macaroni cheese was mashed and watery. The service was horrible. The place is so smell and looks dirty. Specifically, the cost is too high with food and service are not quality. Would not recommend anyone come here to waste your money.
I'll cover quality, value, cleanliness and service on a ten scale.1. Service was good, a 10 actually.2. Cleanliness of restaurant was generally good. Bathroom was cleanish,, and generally okay but definitely not maintained. Lock on stall doesn't work, stains on porcelain, generally unpleasant. Overall a 5.3. Quality on chicken was a 6, dry. Quality on Mac n cheese a 3 (used to be a 10), corn bread a 2 as it was cold and stale, red potatoes a 7 but a bit hard4. On the value size, the meal doesn't come with a drink so the $13 for a minimum turns to $16.xx. the portions for $16 and the overall quality make the value a 4 on the 10 scale. For $16 there's fresh food at 100 other places, made to order. So if I add this up we get 37 out of 70 so roughly a 5 out of 10. And note, I am not comparing BM against any other place.I wasn't expecting a 10, but a 7 is mandatory this day and age.
I can’t believe how disgusting the meatloaf, chicken and mash potatoes was. What a waste of money, never experience a Boston Market so terrible. The person working there was extra rude and provided the most horrible service. This location is giving Boston Market a horrible name
