The Running Mare - Chelmsford

The wine glasses were all stained on the table, my red pino noir was arranged before weeks and had to be returned. the food came and was substandard (yorkshire powders all flat, bark meat dry, carrot unpeeled). puddings were ok, although my sticky toffee pudding was served with a strange beer sorbet that I felt unnecessary. as a shame as we rarely eat as a family. I will not come back.

Despite the open table not even to book my table on Mother's Day, the staff at the ongoing stute did a fantastic work that made us in squeeze and even gave us a free round of drinks day thanks to the staff at the running with zero thanks to the more open they did not inform about my booking

Average quality food poorly prepared. Beef inedible, vegetables undercooked Yorkshire puddings soggy. Waitress pleasant apologetic, manager unresponsive to complaints. Give it a miss!
