Mcdonald's - Chelmsford

Happy to overcharge customers. I ordered a wrap of the day meal and was charged £4.49 for this which I remarked seemed expensive. When I got my receipt, I noticed I'd been charged £3.13 for the wrap instead of the advertised price of £1.99. I went to advise I'd been overcharged and the assistant manager said the advertised price is for a single wrap, I queried where it said this and she couldn't answer. She just said they're a franchise so can charge what they like. I advised they can't charge more than advertised as its illegal and she responded that she doesn't know what I expect her to do about it. I've reported the restaurant to trading standards for overcharging customers and they took about 5 seconds to decide this is something they will want to investigate. Makes me wonder how many other items are charged at a different cost than advertised? Avoid this rip off McDonald's.

Dreadful! The staff were surley and rude. The place appeared filthy. When I got the food home it looked like it had been dropped on the floor, it was cold and greasy! Never again!

Visited this McDonald’s 21/3/23. Ordered 2 coffees, 2 cakes. Used ladies toilets, cubicle 1, Taped off,out of order. Cubicle 2. No toilet paper. Cubicle 3. Toilet seat fell off, no lock on door. Very unpleasant experience. Asked to speak to manager, he appeared with his hands in his pocket, very uninterested. Told him the problem and he replied “ well I don’t use the ladies toilets”. Found him rude,ignorant and Uninterested. Will not return to this place again.

We called in here a couple of times whilst supporting the opening of the new Morrisons and every time we went in there seemed to be lots of kids in, all just buying a McFlurry each but mean8ng our wait was massively extended. It also appear a number of the kids just come and sit in here without buying anything, but taking up seats customers require. We also tried to call in for a coffee one morning at 7.05 but it was shut despite supposedly should have been open according to the opening hours on the door On a positive note we used the drive thru a couple of times and the service from the colleagues in there was superb.

Waited 28 minutes for a cheeseburger, and 2x milkshakes. Asked for fresh food once it was cooked or a refund. Manager come over and was very rude and ignorant as if it was my fault. Slowest McDonald’s I’ve ever been too. Supposed to be fast food
