Always been a favourite venue for lunch but visited today and very disappointed. What has changed?Food was very good but the service was non existent. Had booked a table and on arrival no one greeted us and after waiting for a few minutes to be shown to our table no one appeared and decided to find our table. No staff came to our table and had to stop a passing waitress to ask for a menu. In the meantime few other diners arriving and shown to their table and drinks ordered and served to them. Our order was eventually taken and food arrived. This venue was always very busy with all tables full but many empty tables today. Number of young staff who were not very attentive and don't appear to have been trained for their role. Seemed happier standing around inside around the serving area chatting to each other and difficult to get their attention. We will not be hurrying back!

Wow love this place can never fault the service or food. I took my 90 year old mum for breakfast and the member of staff who looked after us was excellent. We learnt it was only her second day she did a fabulous expert job. Please pass on my thanks for being so friendly and helpful with my mum you made her day ! Just to say the staff are always great here.

Lovely fresh food. Polite servers. Cosy setting. Would recommend for a family lunch. Child friendly. Dogs allowed outside in the pleasant seating area.
