Restaurante La Playa - CHELEM

Unbelievable food and beautiful sea views. Perfect for all types of groups or even for a romantic beach dinner. Definitely a place to return to Over and Over.

During our first visit to the northern part of Yucatan we discovered a small jewel restaurant in the town of Chelem, called La playa. It's just on the beach and views are amazing, but the best is eating. If you want, this is your place. Every day we had another court and it was fabulous. Chef Carlos always showed himself personally how it was. The best was a giant lobster tail with Veggies. I definitely recommend it especially if you are adventure and love to venture into new culture and its gastronomy.

Over the ocean! The coconut palms are amazing. Good portions, charming service and the cook themselves came out to make sure everything was good. It was great.

The freshest and best Ceviche I have had in a while! Fantastic. Epic view of the sunset and the sea. The owner, chef is incredible and so super accommodating and speaks perfect English! We had a perfect Mexican dinner seaside with freshly grilled fish and...then some! The price point is fantastic and I highly recommend this place to my many readers!

Loved this place will be back ! Dead on the ocean ...sweet views; Great drinks seafood ... I had a bucket of sweet-cold camerones w/ multple dipping choices .... I think it 's Jose (owner? we met talked with ... Great chef-host... we all had an excellent late afternoon meal.
