El Jarocho Mexican - Checotah

Definitely top five favorite Mexican places. Everything came out fast and tasted amazing. Stop on by and be prepared to roll out the door after eating!Food: 5/5

The best Mexican Food I've had...we went in group of 10 and the service and food and adult beverages were top notch...couldn't ask for anything better. I've been there for lunches and dinner meals and never have I been disappointed! It's just off the interstate across from Flying J trucks top, give it a try, you will be glad you did.Food: 5/5

Update: Tonight I ordered beef Fajitas. They were amazing. I always request grilled jalapenos to be added to the dish. I try to keep it low carb so do not get the rice and beans and tortillas (which are all great. But I do get the pico de Gallo, sour cream and guacamole. They always provide generous portions, amazing friendly service and yummy meals.I ordered Chili Relleno 's. Which were not my favorite I have had, but they were ok.We also ordered a side of guacamole and queso. Both were excellent!We also ordered Medium margaritas on the rocks. They were wonderful. They did rim with something other than margarita salt, but I drank the margaritas with a straw, so it was ok.Having just moved here, I am excited to find a good Mexican Restaurant nearby.My husband enjoyed his Taco al Pastor, but you will have to see his review. He thought they were perfect.Adding to this post.We went back to El Jarocho this past Friday and I had the steak street tacos. While they were pretty good I did end up asking for some Pico de Gallo because I thought they needed a bit more heat. Maybe I just like my food a bit more spicy than most. Not sure.Parking: They do have handicapped parking near the front door.

Food was great! I always get the bean and cheese nachos with grilled jalapeno peppers, sour cream and guacamole on the side. And almost always a Margarita rocks and salt! The servers are always so cute and eager to please.Food: 5/5

Restaurant was very busy and very loud. Server acted like he was to busy to listen to our order. He had to come back to the table to ask us what we ordered. We had fajitas. They were brought out as just the meat. No plates, tortillas, or lettuce and tomatoes. We had to sit and wait for the rest of our meal. Had to ask for more tortillas because we were only given three just to see later we were charged for them. Server was terrible and rude. Food is great, but the rest is terrible.
