Auberge de La Grotte

Our hostes were beautiful and we got a 5-course breakfast menu with local products (including vin de noix, cheese and beautiful homemade cherry tarte with ice cream de noix.) they also make local wee who were excellent!

We found this place accidentally on a rainy september day and had the best meal of the trip. on a self-guided walk and we were lost (due to terrible directions of sherpa expeditions! when we came past this place. we didn't have a booking and the last table. they made us very welcome and gave us a drink on the house when we set ourselves. tasty suppe, natural compatible, nut tree and other delicious foods. we asked if they could book us a taxi to the next hotel. Instead, they drove us to beaulieu as soon as the lunch was over and did not take any payment. high point of the week hike in the dordogne thanks. if they are in the district, they recommend

Staying hère was a delight and the food was homecooked and fantastic! We had reserved what I think was the only chambre and found it to be clean and have everything we needed for a restful night. The couple that owns this auberge are wonderful...and want your stay/your meal to be the best they treat you as if you are family! The village itself is beautiful and we are so glad we didn't miss this expérience!!

A delight to be pampered by this couple the food was copious and homecooked the four of us really enjoyed having our meal service on platters

Je viens pour la deuxième fois dans ce restaurant/auberge, Tenu par un couple d'un certain âge passionné par ce qu'il fait. La cuisine est simple, mais vraiment délicieuse. Le décor très chaleureux. Le menu est composé d'un potage, d'une entrée, d'un plat de fromage et d'un dessert, Tout est simple mais vraiment bon et l'on sent qu'il s'agit d'une cuisine familiale.je recommande à ceux qui ne recherche pas de sophistication.
