Coin d'aubrac - Chaudes-Aigues

I booked two rooms here through hotels.com but on arrival there were no vacancies. So my review is based on my experience with the staff and how it appeared. First impressions were very positive, it's a relatively new hotel and looks very clean. There is a daily menu in the restaurant that has what appears to be local dishes and I think it would be a good place to stay.Directly next to the geothermal spa but when we went it was half an hour before closing and they still wanted 17 euro to get in.The staff were very apologetic about the mix up and went out of their way to find us suitable accommodation in the village. I was annoyed that we didn't have the reserved rooms but given the reaction of the staff would still highly recommended the hotel

Last october i was in this restaurant with my family but actually i regretted going there a lot !!! ... the restaurant manager of the hotel was the most unfriendly woman i had ever seen in my life ... she was extremely so cold and not helpful at all .but she tried to act like she is welcoming us and in fact i realized that she was just acting like a professional and this is not her reality because unfortunately we noticed that she didnt know anything about restaurant services or even any kind of hospitality .... after we arrived we choosed a table to sit alone without any direction from waiters .then after we had a seat we looked around us ... the decoration of the place was not so bad and while i was looking around i heard my little grand daughter screaming !!!!! she told me OHHHH LOOK SPIDERS .oh god there was a nest of spiders on the ceiling and a lot of webs everywhere in corners of the ceiling and also down tables and some were on the floor .... i was shocked for this so i called the waiter immediately and i complained about this and i found also table was so dusty and dirty i felt really so disgusting and wanted to leave so fast but waiter apologized to us and my wife and my daughter tried to calm me down so i had to wait for our order of food which took so long till they finished preparing it .and of course there is no surprise to find it so more bad food it was so fatty and not delicious at all even it was not well done and none of our requests done like we wanted ... finally before leaving i just wanted to go without thinking to write this comment but what happened before leaving pushed me to write this comment ... there was an indian family there and i guess they had problem in speaking with waiter because he didnt understand them so he called this woman boss to talk with them and i was shocked really when i saw her so bad raciest way in treating them she was nearly insulted them in french and she was really rude with them. i really i dont recommend anyone to go there .. this place is like hell !!!!

I was with my girlfriend last march in this hotel but really we passed with very bad experience there .i dont know from where should i start but really we got deceived by the fame of this hotel because it is in so lovely place with so beautiful view but we got shocked from the service inside .ALL staff from boss till small waiters were so bad and not friendly at all and restaurant is the most horrible i found disgusting hair or something on my plate .. its is really bad choice to go there but the only advantage is its price nothing more

If you read my posts here you might be questioning my opinions. However, I use Tripadvisor to eat and sleep when I am on the road; therefore the places I enjoy are those already enjoyed by others.Positives of this place: apart from the wonderful food, service, ambience, and music, the chef was around at our table asking about us, and the food.it was an experience. Admittedly it was a relatively quiet off season evening. However, this place is simply very good. So good we went back the next day for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised that one the menu for dessert was an Australian dessert Pavlova! A great way to finish off 2 really enjoyable meals in a town not known to many overseas tourists (so Im told)
