I went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed with the line of maybe 20-30 people. The line moved fairly quickly and seating was plentiful but you can tell by the way that the line wrapped around, blocking people from getting to their tables and the soda machine, that the building was never meant to hold this many people at once. The food was good as usual but there's many great or bad things that I could say about a burrito, to be honest. I feel like this location has things a bit spicier than the Red Bank location because my burrito packed quite a bit of heat which must have been in the pico since I didn't ask for anything spicy in it. This location has a nice view of the Incline Railway opposite the street though. I'm not sure how well-known this is but I get my burritos deep-fried, which they can do on request. They can also grill it for you if you ask. It was something that was told to me the first time I visited with a local and now I ask for it every time.
Got the st Elmo as a bowl all the way. To go. It was incredible!!! Well done as always
Ehhh.. I really wanted it to be great as it sounded excellent, but It just didnt do it for me. part of it is covid's fault, part is likely my fault (or so my wife always tells me? and part likely Mojo's fault.. I swung through on a road trip and spoke with the worker out front.. back patio is open, order via the site or through the person in the tent; then grab a spot on the patio and they will call your name out when its ready. Ok cool.. had about 15 min before a video call for work, so I got set up expecting i'd be able to eat part of my meal before the call started. 10 minutes, go by and nothing, then 15, then 20.. then 25... finally, i'm able to sneak away from the call and inquire. They have my food.. been sitting in there for who knows how long. I begrudgingly take it and start back to my table. A minute or 2 later a nice worker comes out and offers to remake it so its warm as they could tell I was slightly frustrated. I didn't want them to just waste the food they'd already made as it was a bit of everyone's fault. I ate it.. it was ok, but felt like it was lacking some flavors. If it was hot it may have been better, but still lacked something. will give it another whirl if i swing back through the area in the future
Ecxentric little restaurant. Ordered the burrito and nachos. I had the shrimp po boy burrito which had a little kick go it. My husband had the mojo burrito with steak which he said is good. The burritos are a good size and comes with chips and salsa. I opted for a queso which is good. The chips are okay. I prefer them a bit lighter and not as thick. My son's nachos with chicken is good as well. They offer a few beer selections as well. We had the fountain drinks. This restaurant is similar to most TexMex restaurants. It's basically a Moe's with an eclectic flair. They have outdoor dinning as well. Mid way through our meal came the flies! We had to shew them off from our table. We paid over $40 of food and had to deal with the flies. They're all over the glass window as well. I might as well have eaten outside if I have to eat with flies everywhere. Because the food is decent, for that reason alone, I'm even giving a 2 stars. Otherwise they would've had a 0 in my book for the flies!!! I'm worried about the sanitation and how did they get an A from the health inspection department?
Mojo Burrito was a great stop in Tennessee near Lookout Mountain (Chattanooga). It was a delicious and relatively cheap Tex-Mex restaurant considering how touristy the surrounding area is. Parking is not that hard to find, there is a parking lot right across the street. The menu offers lots of options, they have all the classic Tex-Mex foods. They can also make anything vegetarian, or even vegan if you want. I got the Mini Elmo, the vegetarian mini burrito with rice, beans, salsa, and three fillings. I got guacamole, sour cream, and Pico de Gallo as my fillings. Any burrito that you get also comes with salsa and chips on the side. One thing I didn 't enjoy was how stuffy it was on the inside. Regardless, I highly recommend this place if you 're in the area!
