My only complaint is their bar set up makes it hard to see the bottles which aren?t on the menu (i.e. they had some Boone County products but you?d have to ask for information about which bottle and the price).
Came in for the first time today for a happy hour lunch and sat at the bar. There was no one at the bar when we sat down and one 2 top. Took 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged and handed the wrong menus had to go find the right one and another 5 minutes for waters to be dropped In this time a man, a regular I would assume, sat at the bar. The bartender was serving the table and making their drinks. I told my fiancé we?d let her drop the drinks and see if she took our
Awesome place for happy hour which is 2 6 Mon Fri when they have $4 wells and $5 house wines. Great happy hour food too with the best chicken fingers and french fries I?ve ever had and only $5 during happy hour! The black guy bartender was totally the best! One of our all time favorite places downtown.
Great vibe in the restaurant and great service. Nice place to come for drinks and it?s a beautiful bar! It?s on the pricey side. I ordered a charcuterie board which comes with 3 picks, and I ordered 2 cheeses and soppressata . It came with the tiniest pieces of cheese and only 3 small slices of soppressata, with lots of bread and a mountain of fig jam. The portions didn?t make sense and for $14 I felt like it was not good value. I?d come back for the drinks tho!
Apparently you can order food at The Social from Public House?s menu since they share the same kitchen, and that I did. By far the best Cobb salad I have ever eaten in my life. Tons of tomatoes, blue cheese, bacon, sliced avocado, and fried chicken that was to die for. The ranch tasted homemade, and the deviled eggs with the candied bacon was definitely a nice touch. This was my first visit to The Social. I worked my first job at 16 in this same spot, back in 2003
