El Meson At Hamilton Place

We chose this place on arrival in Chattanooga because we ate margaritas and Mexican food and El Meson was close to our hotel. It turns out we found a place worthy of 5 stars that we come to Chattanooga for the first time. The listed closing time was 10 o'clock, we arrived at 8:15 o'clock. We were greeted by a huge real smile and led to a high table near the full bar. That was perfect for us as we were hunting for Jalapeño Margaritas – which we found on the menu and ordered a pitcher immediately. Chips and salsa were served and we roasted the evening with our salty glasses and penetrated the menu. Dorados Tacos (Bef) and a combination plate of frogs and a mini chimichanga, one with poblano rice, the other with rice beans, definitely hit the point. Jalapeño's margaritas met and washed everything down. Actually, we couldn't finish everything right, so we took something home and I promise you nothing was going to waste. Almost as good on day 2. Service was excellent, food authentic. Five stars. During our meal we observed another server deal with a challenging guest at a nearby table. The way he treated the guest and only strengthened our new love for El Meson. When we left at 9:45, we saw other customers sitting with a smile — another cudo, as it was almost time to close. Thanks for a great evening. We're coming back!

Absolutely amazing food and fantastic staff! The dishes are always served hot, and they offer an impressive variety of drinks. There are TVs for sports enthusiasts, and it’s also a family-friendly spot. If you’re seeking delicious Mexican cuisine in the Hamilton Place Mall area, I highly recommend visiting El Meson. By the way, they have an award-winning margarita that you definitely need to try!

Very friendly staff! We had a fairly large party and they did a great job helping us get seated. The Sunday buffet had a lot to offer. The replenishing was a little slow, but they were extremely busy. Food was very good and great flavors.

I’ll start this review with a big sigh as I don’t know where to start. The facility is run down and the ceiling has so much water damage, it is disgusting. Twice I felt something drop on my head. The food was very filling. I had the Enchiladas Ranchero, which is cheese stuffed into a corn tortilla, rolled in red sauce and topped with shredded beef. The shredded beef was tender but the enchiladas were soggy. The service was super slow with our server forgetting tortillas for the Polo Loco, drinks, napkins and had to be reminded several times. Maybe they are struggling to staff the restaurant and this is reflected in the service and condition.
