Lid & Jar - Chatswood

Second time we have been and again, disappointed. The staff seemed to have no idea what was going on, seemed very vague. The staff member who took our orders didn't seem to k ow what was going on, had to repeat my coffee order to her 3 times. When meals arrived they were cold. Two of our orders had sourdough but were given brioche. Received bill which I thought was a bit expensive considering service was shocking and food was mediocre.

Such a lovely place. Really great breakfast, the milkshakes are so good. Nice atmosphere, pretty interior. Really good place for lunch.

We were there early, only 2 other tables. Started off good, but then we ordered our 2nd coffee, breakfast arrived..... definitely smaller portions then when we visited a year ago, bacon was burnt, but otherwise dish was ok, still waiting for coffee..... barista was busy chatting to female customers, we finished breakfast, no one took the plates, 35 mins after ordering 2nd coffee, still no coffee, we finally got someone's attention, they immediately got the coffee , which was cold, and didn't take the feedback we gave them and still charged full price. Won't be back in a hurry .

Waited for 30 mins for a table. Finally seated. No service for another 20 minutes. Finally got served and waiter took our order. Another 10 min wait. Another waiter then told us the kitchen has to close for 30 mins. Needless to say we walked out.Worst customer service would not recommend it to anyone.

We did not get as far as eating. We had to wait for a table , which was fine but once shown to our dirty table , we waited ten minutes for a waitress to return . I got the attention of one waitress and asked if we could have some menus, when she returned with these , without an apology I might add, I asked if she would mind cleaning the table, she begrudgingly half cleaned it, leaving the bottled water and glasses used by the previous customers. still no apology. We waited another while and left when no bother returned to even take a drinks order , we left.
