Hakata-Maru Ramen Chatswood

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The owner was incredibly rude to us simply because I entered first while my husband was parking the car. He was only 5 minutes behind me.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. It is not pretentious at all, just serving up delicious and authentic Ramen in a flavorful broth. The Miso Tonkatsu is definitely the standout dish.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for 5 years. Despite the name change, the quality remains consistent and excellent. The staff seem truly dedicated to their work, and even though the service is fast, it is still pleasant. I almost always order the Hakatamon Tonkotsu, which is full-flavored and delicious.

There were 6 of us ordering a selection of ramen and we gave a thumbs up for each one. Given that it was a chilly and windy winter's day, we especially appreciated the delicious hot, tasty and thick broth in our bowls. I did think that too much garlic oil had been added to the stock and it would have been more to my liking if not for that. However this is a personal preference and overall, it's one of the best ramen I've tasted.

Good variety of ramen with great tasting broth. Good value hearty size. Friends and family that I've taken them to this place all want to go back for more. Can get busy at lunch times so go early.
