Good Thai - Chatswood

We visited on a Friday lunch time. The restaurant was busy, but neither the floor staff nor the kitchen were well organised. Staff were not attentive to arriving customers they looked at customers come in but there was no effort to greet them or find out if they were waiting for tables or ordering take away. We waited almost 10 minutes before one of the staff walked past and we had to call them over to take our order for takeaway. A great Thai restaurant hidden away amidst the hustle and bustle of Chatswood. I ordered chicken pad see ew and Thai iced tea with lemon. Both were delicious however the portion sizes were huge!! There was no way I could have finished. That being said though, I guess I would rather too much than too little Service was generally good and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. I'm in no rush to return but it was still great nonetheless!

Really huge servings for a good price and excellent quality thai food. Service is good although the tables are weirdly proportioned and you sometimes end up sharing tables with other people. Another downside is that they don't do split bills and have $30 eftpos minimum which is a bit steep but other than that probably one of the best thai places in Chatswood. Good place to go for a laid back dinner with friends.

With so few Thai choices in Chatswood, Good Thai also doesn't stand out from the crowd either or live up to expectations of a venue within The Concourse. The lunch menu offered has become a lot more competitive to entice residents and workers but there doesn't feel anything particular striking either. The dishes have a sense of freshness but it's also not better than the average Thai cuisine available with all the similar menus and option to create your own dish, the sunken ambience is nice though with friendly staff.
