Fook Yuen Seafood - Chatswood

Came for the first time in a few years here for yum cha. the quality seems to have increased since the first year after the change of property. the main deficiency is badly damped emptying packages. steamed dimming sum: the dumped (prawn, chive, scallop) have good filling, but the dumped dough/wrapper is terrible, it is sticky and falls apart.) tripe (honeycomb and other type,) bark tending were both excellent. deep fried dimming sum: taro, sesam prawn both excellent. steamed rice noodles roll well. front fried noodle dish above average, but price is quite high (almost $30 per dish.) yum cha price standard for area. will soon try to dinner again.

A great place for a solid Chinese feed. I love my yum cha so that I had an absolute ray in this restaurant! generally affordable and with good service I would recommend it definitiw.

Decent yum cha, and definitiw one of the better in chatswood. fook yuen is quite a local facility, and the mass it draws on waking are impressive (especially given its off victoria ave the style and taste of a lot of yum cha dumpling clips (e.g. siu mai, wu gok park, har gao is consistently made and always pulls compliments out with which I eat it quick.

This was our first time having Chinese New Year dinner at Fook Yuen Chatswood. 10 courses for $698. The 10 courses included fruit platter Sorry, we only got oranges left they said, mouldy oranges if you don't mind) and dessert which we didn't get it as they run out of desserts). Truly truly disappointed with their service and food. Once we were seated we were basically waiting forever to be seated overbooked the restaurant this mean). The excuse was they ran out of the dessert so they had to quickly made something up for us. When asked, the waiter was very impatiently complaint he was the one had to go to the kitchen to make us the dessert. We were like what's that got to do with us?...read more

Good quality fresh food, good selection of varieties too. Nice dinning environment. Not too noisy as other yum Cha places. We really enjoyed nice lunch and chat.
