In the heart of plains dranse (what we always call plain drains, there are several restaurants, but this one, right at the top of the lift of pré de la joux, was very good. we both had the Italian salate, divided half. bottle savoie rosé wine (may have made it easy to a bottle .. and some chips and it came only to euro 35 for the whole lunch. efficient service, we sat outside and watched the mountain bikers when they appeared the ski lift next to the restaurant. a beautiful place with a good menu. we will return.
Good food, great staff. Located at the top of the Pierre longue lift. A sun trap whether for a drink or food.
40th birthday bash on the slopes. Got here without a reservation and they were busy, asked the waitress (employed for looks and not their customer service skills) for a table for 10!!! She ignored my request but when I pursued inside with the manager she...rustled up some tables and put is a prime spot in full sunshine outside on the terrace. Fab views of the pistes and mountains idyllic!! Little DJ booth playing music at a nice level to get people feeling the vibe. Gourmet Burgers were MEGA all washed down with Magnums of champagne (Eu 100.00 which isn't bad for a ski resort). Just wish they had 1 extra waitress to improve the service (we had to ask for bread 3 times! but it was Easter Weekend and rammed plus this is a ski resort restaurant!! A cross between the Follie Douse and a contempory family restaurant it worked.
This restaurant is located on the mountain and its absolutely perfect! They serve big portions which are perfect to gain energy so that you can continue skiing. It is not a self service restaurant! So you can sit down and relax while someone else takes...care of you. I know that when you go skiing you always dread those long queues at the self service restaurants. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your lunch. When it is sunny its an amazing place to sit outside and get some colour. However, if you come with a big group I recommend to make a reservation as it is quite a popular place. We probably sat there for a good two hours and enjoyed every moment of it. There is also a small DJ booth, so if you like apres-skiing, you can do that here as well.
