Le Paradis - Châteaumeillant

We enjoyed a lovely relaxed meal in this pretty spot. Although quiet when we were there, it had a nice calm atmosphere. Hosting was attentive and Cor gave helpful explanations of the menu. The menu is fixed price with several choices. If I was being picky I would 've liked a larger choice, (as I don 't eat a lot of fish) but what we all had was thoroughly enjoyed. As the restaurant is a small concern, I can understand the limits on the menu. The food is reasonably priced for tasty, creative dishes that are well presented. We will definitely return another day.

Taken for a meal by one of my French brother in law. Nice and cosy with good service. My French wife considered it very expensive for the food. I had a Charolais steak which was over cooked by French standards for a bleu and it was fairly tough. 25€ I can get a kilo of this from my local butcher for this price and his beef is far superiour!

Fantastic location! Nicely decorated rooms very quiet, not far from the center. Very, very friendly hosts. The restaurant has only few places, to make sure...

Doesn't seem to have survived Corona. Unfortunately closed and devastated gate area.

Great stop at cycling the pelgrim route. good kitchen and beautiful grounds.
