Quorn Cottage Chinese Takeaway

I don’t like giving a poor review but on this occasion this establishment deserves it. Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Sweet and sour chicken balls were awful. The sauce was poor and whilst the chicken balls were plentiful they were obviously processed and had never seen a wok. Couldn’t eat the food. Sorry Quorn but your Chinese takeaway is poor.

I highly recommend this Chinese for takeaways the food is always hot and always prepared on time. The food taste is nice, can not complain.

This is a takeaway only place that does not accept cards. Get that right beforehand and it seems a lot of the less good reviews go away. I can't understand people that get shirty about this kind of thing if in doubt, ask when you order! This is a no frills, reasonably priced, standard takeaway. It does everything you'd expect and does it very well. The food is always plentiful, tasty, hot and reasonably priced. If more places just stuck to what they are good at (like Quorn Cottage does), then the world would be a (slightly) better place. I have never had a bad meal from this place.

When you find a takeaway that is as good as this you keep returning . Usual variety of dishes with some more unusual too, quality is great and portion size is good. They dont take card payment but there is a cash point nearby.

I arrived and asked for things off menu for our son who is a very fussy eater. This was met with suggestions and the food was cooked brilliantly and our son exclaimed it was his favourite food ever! The rest of the food we ordered was delicious and generous quantities of meat to sauce ratios. Thank you so much for looking after my son’s special needs!
