Pizza Delight - Charlottetown

I visited this restaurant with my family during our trip to PEI. The location is interesting, but it would be even better if they played up the fact that it used to be an old jail. The food was good, but they were out of several desserts we tried to order.

I always love going to Pizza Delight. Their food is delicious and the prices are very affordable. The restaurant is always clean and the service is consistently friendly and quick. I particularly love their desserts.

We sort of fell upon the restaurant after having been out across the east end of the island for most of the day. We drove back into Charlottetown looking for something quick and easy. We had been given a food gift card for the Murphy group of restaurants and to our surprise found out the "Pizza Delight 1911Jail" location was owned by them.I went inside and once finding out they did takeout, ordered a simple large pizza to go. The young fellow behind the counter(who was relatively new) give me a total which didn't seem to bad at all. Another server near heard me order and the price the other person gave me, and promptly came over and said she thought that it could be ordered cheaper.She showed the newer person very professionally what he had done wrong and quickly rectified the issue, which saved me a few bucks.The pizza was very good and was made and in my hands in about 10 minutes or so.What did impress me was the willingness of the staff to ensure that ordered was totalled correctly.Well done!

We went to the buffet today, March 20, and we were very disappointed in the whole experience. We were served our drinks at first, but as we continued, we were never asked how things were going, if we wanted a refill on our drinks, or our plates were never removed from our table when we finished. As far as the buffet goes, we had enough to eat but it wasn't what you call great. The buffet was not kept filled and what was there, was hard to get because it wasn't cut through and it was cold. We won't be returning any time soon.

We were hungry after a long day around the island. Called and picked up pizza, exactly what the doctor ordered. Everyone enjoyed the pizza and there was plenty to go around. Definitely recommend.
