Contribuiți la feedbackI had the pleasure of a night at this hotel for the first time in more than a decade and was really pleasantly surprised. Super friendly staff, immaculately clean and the entire hotel has been recently renovated: all the carpets removed, nice new eco-friendly fixtures, snow white super comfortable beds and bedding. This is a bargain of a hotel in the off-season especially w/ a really great breakfast buffet included in the price. Its location is fabulous, right at the edge of historic Charlottetown (read: you can walk to everything.) History buffs will be interested to know this hotel is on the site of the last hanging on PEI.
I had the lobster sandwich which was excellent and also had a Friday breakfast , breakfast is a self serve which is good when there on business.
Ate lunch here with my parents. It was ok. Setting was very loud and lacked warmth. A nice spot if serving breakfast.
We had a supper meal at the Inn on the Hill and we were all delighted with the fresh, tasty food, very friendly server, and the overall experience. The dining room is under renovation, so the blue tarp on the way in lowered my expectations. But they really delivered. My dining party ordered the spinach mandarin chicken salad, Mary's sandwich, The 2014 Burger Love burger and 2016 Burger Love Beef Cordon-Moo offering. Everything was fresh and carefully cooked and served. The food is locally sourced and they list the local suppliers in the menu. The 2014 burger was a turkey dinner (turkey, dressing, cranberry mayo) on a patty. It was a lot of eating and we all got to try it. The 2016 patty had a slice of cheese, ham and turkey on it as well. The burgers had soft, tasty buns that enhanced them. The spinach salad had the right amount of (canned) mandarin slices, cherry tomatoes and tasty sliced chicken, with a side of poppy seed dressing. I have had tasteless sliced chicken, but this was really good. Mary's sandwich is a favourite and was all eaten before I got to try it! We all commented on the fresh, apparently home cut fries. There was some potato skin on them. They were hot, cooked, and super fresh. We wanted to try the coconut cream pie, but we were too full. The server was friendly and attentive. He ensured we had full water glasses, made pleasant conversation and took great care of us. The entire menu is fairly standard, but the chef seems to have a way to make it a little above the usual and injected some flavor and pizzazz. We'll be back.
Food was great , staff great and prices fair. you could tell it was a great place to eat when a lot of people from outside of hotel were eating there. it also seemed popular for businesses to have there meetings there.
