The Mill Room At Boar's Head Resort

We dined at the Mill Room on Valentine's Day. Although the set menu offered some choices, our meal took over two hours to complete. Both the appetizers and the main courses were served cold. The waiting staff appeared overwhelmed, and there seemed to be a lack of coordination with the kitchen. We noticed several dishes were brought to the dining room by runners who then had to return them to the kitchen because they couldn't find the correct table. While the food was tasty, the temperature was a disappointment—nobody enjoys cold steak!

I thoroughly enjoyed the fixed menu option for Valentine's Day. It was a four-course meal, including dessert, and every dish was phenomenal and generously portioned. The service was outstanding as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

The renovations have spoiled the atmosphere and overall charm of what used to be a beautiful setting. The dinner was delicious, but there was a significant chip in the dinner plate, which is not what you expect from an expensive restaurant.

Our first time to The Mill Room since the renovations and we were very impressed! Service is very good and the food was fantastic.

Excellent food and service. First time back since the remodel. Bright areas. Food had original taste, service was outstanding, best I've experienced in Charlottesville in quite a while. Recommend this restaurant.
