Ananas Thai in Charlottesville has the best Thai food! I am a big fan of Thai cuisine and have sampled all the Thai restaurants in the city, but Ananas Thai is my favorite. Their green curry is wonderfully flavorful and spicy. The red curry with duck is also a standout dish. The noodles are incredibly fresh and delicious. The chicken satay is a bit pricy at $8, but you get a generous portion and the peanut sauce is a game-changer. They also serve excellent Thai iced tea. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu in the future.

The food is delicious, the ambiance is warmly inviting, and the prices are reasonable. This Thai restaurant has quickly become our new favorite spot!

We were excited to try out the new Thai restaurant in the city and arrived just 30 minutes after it opened to avoid the crowds. This also meant that the service was exceptional, as the staff were not overwhelmed. We were promptly greeted upon entering, seated, and placed our drink orders right away. However, we ended up waiting and waiting for our drinks, and our server never returned to our table. After 15-20 minutes of being ignored, we decided to just pay for the one drink we received and leave. It seemed like they couldn't care less that we were there, so we were relieved to go. Maybe we will give it another try in the future, but chances are slim.

My man and I are new in the opposite and have been looking for a great Thai restaurant. the only reason I gave two stars is that the first two paintings here were perfect and the eating was great, especially the tom yum zitronengrass suppe. but our experience yesterday was absolutely terrible and we even had a friend with us (super embarrassing). we were brought the wrong suppe (typically not a big thing), but we have never received the right, even after two other participants arrived and were mostly finished. this was ordered as a meal of my man! in the meantime, they were seat customers left and right until the restaurant was completely full. they had work like 2 server and they obviously couldn't handle it. Why did they put so many people without warning? in any case we waited for the unexisting suppe after my friend and I ended our meals and were ready to go. the server deliberately ignored us every time we tried to get his attention. I noticed that others were also very undone. there were only two other tables that we arrived so that we have been there since then. my friend was fed and went forward to pay for the suppers. we waited longer and no suppe yet. I really feel like they just wanted us to go without them because it was an oral attempt to get a refund. After they advised a few couples to dinate elsewhere, they were happy to give the refund for the suppe and get us out of there. haha. it seemed like they were more occupied to command. avoid this restaurant at the weekends! we will continue to search for great Thai restaurant because the fire was not that.

Food was good but there were only two people working front of house and they were far behind on getting food and drink orders out.
