Pigeon Hole - Charlottesville

Really nice place on a shaded street in Charlottesville! We all ordered something else and were all pretty happy. I had the messenger that was pretty heavy, but satisfied. Very recommended.

The food was amazing. The restaurant is set in a converted old house, which means seating is somewhat limited. My wife and I put our names on the waiting list and spent some time exploring the nearby shops while waiting for a table. Our server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back when we're in the area again.

We went to breakfast on Monday morning. The service was fast and the food came out quickly. The decor is old hole in the wall, but clean. I had the grottos that were very good. The houseries had a different texture and a small kick. Portion sizes were not the largest and not the smallest. I would recommend it.

Painfully slow service, food was served cold, food quality was rather dull and the entire restaurant needs a deep cleaning. I've seen cleaner bathrooms at truck stops along the highway. I don't understand why this place is so popular or how the health department hasn't cited them.
