Contribuiți la feedbackInteresting vibe when we came here with our small group. I recently read that The Stanley is closing. It's a shame because the space is beautiful, but I can see what there might be a few struggles. The menu offered amazing flavors, but was a little tricky to navigate. The drinks were ok, but a little too boozy (dare I say it!? for my taste. Overall, a great selection, but I feel like this is either a drink spot OR a dinner spot. I just didn't feel like we got a good blend across the two offerings. The two downsides were paying for our bill, (it took us over 45 minutes to get checks and leave and the portions (very small and very pricy . The end of our evening was a little awkward to say the least (and truly not a busy night inside . Overall it just felt like a fancy night that left us hungry for something different.
Visited last night for an after-dinner drink. The bartender was kind and very knowledgeable. My drink was good, and close to what I asked him to replicate. We enjoyed a nice quiet atmosphere, but the food looked great, so will update when we got back for dinner. Nice ambiance!
What better way to end a busy work week than with a nice artisan cocktail from The Stanley. Ive been here several times and Ive brought several friends here for drinks before heading out on the town. The Stanley has a really good selection of Whiskys too which is typically what I tend to drink. Every now and again they'll have a cocktail on their menu that strikes my fancy but a review was well over do. Looking forward to coming back again which hey I was just there one day ago lol. I highly recommend trying them out.
All of their dishes are farm to table which made everything taste very fresh and not loaded with sodium. They change their menu every 2 weeks so you're always getting something different. The NY Strip Steak was a very fresh piece of meat. You didn't feel unhealthy after eating it. The Sunchokes are part of the sunflower family. It had a taste between a water chestnut and potato. The Bucatini pasta came with fresh shrimp and delicious sauce My only dislikes were the Corn Bread was dry so glad it came with the jalapeño butter. Three of us got the Risotto but not one looked the same mine was more liquidy than the others.
They waitresses deserve 5 stars. Our waitress was truly amazing and made the night and I’m truly sorry that I did not catch her name because I could sing her praises. The food and drinks however were not up to par. We came Christmas Eve and it was amazing experience but tonight (our Valentine’s Day dinner) was different. The drinks were sub par (I got the Out of Time Mr. Big) compared to last time we went. The small plates were fine, beef tar tar was good and the funnel cake was interesting but not my personal taste (not my main complaint by ANY means). My main plate is my biggest regret for coming back. I ordered the shrimp and pasta big plate. I had 4 bites (to make sure I wasn’t overreacting) but it tasted burnt and the shrimp were bland so I pushed it away. My husband gave me his plate to snack on/finish which was amazing the strip is the way to go. Our waitress made our bill reflect our evening (again we LOVED HER and all she did for us truly) but we came to eat a nice quality meal from what we expected from the Stanley. Not what we got.
