Portofino Italian - Charlotte

Terrible service. I ordered the salmon al penne with linguine and garnel. the waitress didn't listen to me and when the plate arrived, they didn't even contain any. When I informed the waitress, she asked if I wanted to garnish them on the side. I told her I wanted the garnels to be cooked in the sauce. she took the plate and came with the same eating with grilled garnel on the top. at this point I asked the manager. When he arrived, I informed him about the problem. the manager took the plate back and came back in less than 5 minutes. I realized that they took the grilled garnel and mixed with the sauce, because I took one bite, I could say that the garnels were not cooked in the sauce. I'm so disappointed by her attempt to force the court on me.

DO NOT ORDER ANY SEAFOOD. Me and a friend came in for lunch from out of town, thought this looked like a nice spot. Calamari was far undercooked and could not eat it. Looked like they were dropped in the fryer for one second and put it on the plate. I had already ordered the mussels for my main meal, which proved just as bad. All of the mussels were falling apart in the shell, and had a distinct fishy taste. I was only able to stomach 2 before I stopped eating.The pasta dish was fine.We both ended up sick from the seafood shortly afterwards.

Today I meet with my co workers for lunch. This is the first time since the pandemic started. The food was great and we all enjoyed it. The low score is a direct result of the lackadaisical waitress we had. She was not friendly or welcoming at all. She was the absolute worst. She served the food leaning over people. As opposed to walking down to the end of the table. When I asked her to bring my entrée to my side she told me she could not fit through the chairs. Instead of asking patron to slide their chair in. Dropped the food off and didn't follow up to check on the table. We had to ask for more water and everything ourselves Then she disappeared and another waitress finished out the service. The only reason that I didn't put her name in the review is my Mamager picked up the tab and I don't have it.

Food was delicious. Service was just ok , but after I kindly explained to our waitress, that she needed to be more attentive to her customers(I know waitstaff struggle), but a simple, short stop at each table, y 'all(you all), ok? , keep it moving. Our waitress didn 't attend to any of her customers, after they were served. But I gently, advised her it would behoove her to, make a quick stop or I 've not forgotten you, I 'll be with you . Simple that 's all. She didn 't appear to be that busy. I don 't think she was new, and I 've seen waitstaff take on several tables, and not miss a beat, canna I get you something? Pour more water/beverage. She stepped up her game afterwards, and I made sure she was generously rewarded.

Food was disgusting the chicken taste like water the only thing that is decent is pizza salad and lobster ravioli but be careful because it was shells in the ravioli
