Passage To India Indian Cuisine (charlotte, Nc)

The food was delicious! Since I had never tried Indian cuisine before, I was pleasantly surprised. We sampled several dishes, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're interested in experiencing Indian food for the first time.

This was my first order from here via DoorDash, and it was absolutely fantastic! The Lamb Tikka Masala was incredibly flavorful and delicately made. I can’t wait to enjoy my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

I felt that this restaurant was not being honest, so I chose not to place an order. I drove there only to discover that they were only offering takeout. When I asked the owner why that was the case, they mentioned it was due to some recent construction. However, upon reading reviews, I learned that this has been their standard operating procedure since COVID—why not just be upfront about it? Generally, many reviews pointed out complaints about the quality of the food, so I decided to head to the Copper Indian Restaurant instead, where the food was much better.

Not sure where to start from. Let's talk about positives: less expensive, larger portions, quick preparation. This is the first time I ordered from passage to India and I'm totally disappointed. Visually I could not distinguish between Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Biryani (except Biryani was yellowish). Fried Rice was Bland, felt like prepared in a hurry, chicken pieces tasted stables (I have fried rice as mild, but mild does not mean Bland, mild does not mean, chicken pieces will taste stale). Biryani was also not better, tasted like rice was mixed with some raw spices and cooked together. Now for the Malabar Curry this is the worst. Greasy, cooked in a hurry and looked like chicken pieces were a reflection. I don't waste my money again.

I truly love ocming to this place because the CURRY GOAT is spectacular????! I usually go with the spice Level 7 and add an extra sode of rice because the portion is hearty. The flavor reminds me of the Indian Cusine I used to get back home in NYC. ALWAYS A TRADITION TO STOP BY HERE WHEN I'M IN TOWN??????.
