Lupies Cafe - Charlotte

I've only visited this place once, but I definitely plan to return. The chili was incredible—hearty, warming, and bursting with flavor. I really enjoyed the eclectic atmosphere. The service was good, and the prices were reasonable. I just hope that gentrification doesn't take Lupie's away from us like it has with many other beloved spots in Charlotte.

I’m not sure how long Lupie's has been around, but it has definitely become a beloved staple in our household. We’ve visited this charming little restaurant numerous times and have always left satisfied. We've tried all their chili options, including chili with pasta and nachos, and we also indulged in their banana pudding. It's a fantastic spot to sample some delicious vegetarian chili as well. During our most recent visit, we ordered the nachos with veggie chili, and I must say, while others often complain about shrinking portion sizes elsewhere, it feels like Lupie's portions get larger every time we go! So, be sure to add this restaurant to your list for your next dinner outing—you definitely won’t regret it!

I moved to North Carolina four years ago, and it was my first time attending the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte. A friend from Virginia invited us to dinner afterward, and we went to Lupie's Cafe. I was thrilled to visit such a charming mom-and-pop establishment. The food was excellent, and the staff was professional and quick to take our orders. If you go, definitely try the BBQ plate—it was absolutely delicious! You won't be disappointed.
