Coffee and juice are included on the bar with the price. They have everything from chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits to an omelette station. Fresh fruit and baked goods. The French toast was so good, out of this world. They also offer drink specials, I got the mimosa carafe which was only $10. Just a glass was $5 so yea that was a no brainer lol. The brunch is every Sunday from 10-2, and I highly suggest getting there early. Like before they open, I got there abt 930 just so I wouldn’t have any probs finding parking, and there were already people standing outside forming a line lol.
Dirty plates and very over crowded. The seafood Alfredo was okay but the chicken was very very flavorless.
Five years later, Heist is due for an update and the opportunity to show off our beer culture to one of my out of town friends. On a Sunday afternoon out of football season, Heist was not busy and we were able to get a hightop immediately. I popped up to the counter and placed our food and beer order we split a pitcher of their Druid Pilsner and I brought that back to the table. Two hours later, we had drunk the beer and eaten the flatabread and the beer cheese with breadsticks. The flat bread was tasty and well topped. The beer cheese was tangy and the breadsticks were both crunchy and soft. Delicious. There is a lot of seating inside and outside upstairs, downstairs, a huge back room. We were at a high top in the entrance and it was cool. I was pleased with how it turned out and glad to have Heist as an example of Charlotte 's fabulous beer culture.
Our family went to celebrate my father’s birthday for the “Sunday Brunch.” We had 3 children with us that were 3 years old, 16 months and 20 months. At first he said 3 year old would be charged $10, and the other two wouldn’t be charged. He ended up charging the other two $5 each because that would be like a 3 year old combined. Please have something set so it doesn’t seem sketchy with pricing. We don’t mind paying, but it just seemed off to tell one thing and then change it. It also would’ve been nice for the guy at the front to tell customers that the AC was broken because it was uncomfortably hot eating inside. The AC was working in the room where the food was put out, but the dining room area was broken. The food was okay. Chicken and waffles were probably the only thing that was decent, but everything else I was not a fan of. The atmosphere and first impression with the guy at the front definitely played a big part in my review for my first time visiting.
Super excited to visit on of my favorite breweries in the southeast! Heist hits on all cylinders from sourcing hops to formulating unique approaches to its NEIPAs! Love the on-site facility with extremely friendly and helpful wait staff (and even the line cooks jumped in on greeting customers! . Enjoyed a great flatbread along with a variation of its mainstay brew, Citraquench'l.....TooQuench'l .Worth a stop when in Charlotte!
