American Deli - Charlotte

This location used to be better, and the food was of higher quality. I'm not sure what has changed.

I wasn't pleased with the cashier working tonight. She consistently leaves customers on hold and doesn't return to the call if you reach out within an hour of closing time. This evening, she placed me on hold, and when I called back, either the phone was off the hook, or she'd answer without saying a word. This seems to only happen when she's on shift.

The customer service was excellent; the young woman at the counter was very friendly. I ordered the Philly and wing combo, but the food was just okay for me. The wings were quite small, and the sandwich was decent. I wasn't a fan of the garlic parmesan sauce on the wings; I think a dry rub would be better. Overall, I'd consider going back because they have other menu items that I'm interested in trying.

I've been to American Deli four times in my lifetime all within a year. I've only been to two of their I think 5 locations here in Charlotte. I went to this location because I was shopping at a nearby family Dollar store. This location is pleasant considering the area is a little run down due to age and some current construction work being done to the area. It's just off the light rail line but the store is clean and the staff workers are friendly and provide excellent service. The philly cheese steak combo is my favorite made with fresh ingredients and always cooked perfectly. And it's still warm once I take the light rail back home.

Pretty good food. Restaurant with sort of dirty and service was sort of slow.Food: 5/5
