The Underground Cafe - Charleston

The tacos and burritos here are outstanding! The meat in the tacos is simply incredible, especially the chicken—it's absolutely delicious. I've indulged in these tacos and burritos three times in just five days because they are that good! The atmosphere is also enjoyable, with fun activities like bingo, dog days, and music trivia, creating a lively vibe that's hard to beat. Highly recommend!

We dined out on Friday night and had a fantastic experience. The service was quick and the staff were all very friendly. We tried the pig bell baos, roasted chicken burrito, patatas bravas, and a taco filled with shrimp and roasted chicken. Everything was outstanding! The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, the pig bell was crispy and delicious, and the patatas bravas offered a delightful twist on the traditional Spanish dish. They also have a stand in the middle featuring merchandise, sake, and Mexican wine, and I was able to enjoy a chilled bottle of one of the sakes with my dinner. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience!

I had a great experience at the restaurant. I ordered the wings and tacos (pork, shrimp, and steak/beef) along with a margarita. While I'm not particularly fond of shrimp, everything else was delicious, especially with the sauce. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes on my next visit. I gave it a four-star rating because the atmosphere inside felt a bit chaotic. The bartender was rushing around, and my order nearly got mixed up with someone else's at a different table. The space felt a bit cramped, but I'm not sure if that was just due to the busyness of the night or if it's always like that.

AMAZING! I have her Tofu Taco Seasonal Veggie Taco. (Zucchini) We finished our meal with a banana nip. The location is random, but nothing but good moods and good food inside. 100% will be back.

Super cozy, trendy atmosphere with lively volume level, indoor and outdoor seating, very spacious booths, broad and interesting drink and dessert menu and DELICIOUS food. Our table had the duck ramen (soooooo much flavor), steak and super tender pork belly tacos, the steamed buns, shrimp burrito (huge and packed), the tomato bread and potato salad. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and really glad our friends recommended this local spot while we were in town visiting. Very friendly and helpful staff as well!
