The Jetty Lobster Raw - Charleston

This charming neighborhood spot offers delicious and fresh seafood. The staff is friendly and relaxed, making you feel very welcome. I never felt rushed during my visit. I had made a reservation partly to earn 1,000 OpenTable points, but now I've been informed that those points aren't available here. Is this a bait and switch?

The restaurant boasts a lovely interior and welcoming staff, but unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. They really need a skilled chef. The Lobster Rolls were disappointing; the bun wasn’t toasted and had twice the amount of bread compared to a traditional Lobster Roll. It also contained only about two ounces of lobster meat. The coleslaw was mediocre, tasting more like something from KFC. Instead of heirloom tomatoes in the salad, I was served tricolor tomatoes. The oysters were smaller than usual and quite forgettable. The only highlight of the evening was the wonderful company I had with me!

The lobster rolls were absolutely delicious, served on a fantastic bread.

Out in Charleston for vacation. Stopped by here to try it out and use an open table award. Have eaten at many of the Charleston restaurants over the last 15 years. So have been trying out new things lately. Place is super tiny no more than 2-3 people can sit at a table, limited dining area and there is a very crammed patio. Menu is limited and for a lobster roll, the lobster was very good and fresh, but the amount was rather small. Maybe I’m a bad judge, after going to Maine a few years ago and the insane amounts of lobster you get there. Drinks were also limited to wine and frozen drinks. They don’t have a full liquor license. Not a big deal but I’m not sure a place this small can survive on such a small niche.

I just moved to town this week and got a recommendation to go to this spot. Overall an incredible experience. Very chic vibe, super friendly staff, and great drink menu. The owner came over and introduced himself at our table and was incredibly nice and cordial to us. I highly recommend this spot and already consider it one of my favorite places in Charleston.
