Ordered three times now from Chinatown. I hate they charge $3 more for lo-mein (vs rice) but their Kung-Pow is delicious! Green peppers are not for me, but thankfully they gladly leave items out. They don’t over sauce their foods, which is so different than most Chinese restaurants.
Quick and simple, the flavors are great and it’s cooked well. This has been our go-to for years and is among the best in the area for takeout. Their General Tso’s is basically perfect.
If you’re wanting to eat the best Chinese food in town….you’ve come to the right place! The atmosphere is more of a grab and go; yet this doesn’t take away from the food or service. I ate the sesame seed chicken combo, and boy am I stuffed! You know it’s true because I haven’t ate anything since breakfast, and it’s currently dinner time. *for breakfast I at a pack of crackers and a banana*If you like sesame chicken, and you like fried rice, know that you’re getting enough ‘bang for your buck .’I don’t write reviews very often, but when I do, you know it’s serious!Sidenote: Personally, I’d say this combo is big enough to fill up ONE person.P.S.: I’m very particular about the taste of my Chinese food. However I’m always willing to make the drive because I know what im getting and who’s cooking! This place is so good I make a 30 minute drive up here. THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE IM WILLING TO GO FOR CHINESE unless it’s habatchi .
Everytime I visit this location, I have witnessed large amounts of egg rolls sitting in a deep fryer basket at room temp. for who knows how long. The owner will dunk them back into the oil whenever the orders start to pick up, thinking no one is watching. This place is overdue for a city inspection.THE MENU IS INACCURATETheir version of CHOW MEIN IS SERVED CHOP SUEY STYLE with cabbage, onion and some kind of white, gelatinous broth, along with a side of rice and fried wonton strips. The menu description states it comes with rice and noodles which is misleading. They do offer several versions of PAD THAI, but none are authentic. They use a tangy, tomato based sauce with tastes similar to Satay sauce.PLEASE REVISE YOUR MENU SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE ORDERINGAlso, they have a young Gen Zzz male taking orders from time to time. He has poor social skills and not someone I would want representing my business or dealing with the public. He's has a smart mouth, lazy communication skills, lacks respect and seems unfocused and uninterested.
