Shivalli Mtr - Channapatan

The snacks served are very tasty. Especially mudde idli (cone type idli in Mangalorean style) khara baath, bisie bele baath and Masala Dosa. The south indian lunch/dinner served here is also equally good. Filter Coffee served here is very very good.The service is very fast. You can enjoy food sitting in your car in the parking space around the hotel. The service to vehicle is equally fast.There is ample parking space around the hotel. Also the washrooms are maintained decently well. You find the place over crowded during the weekends and many of the dishes get exhausted fast during this period. However the service remains quick and fast even with the milling crowd to the hotel.The hotel is an ideal pit stop for the Bangalore - Mysore highway travelers. It is about 10 kms away from Channapatna town.

We were driving from blore to kabini. A friend had recommended this place to us.. Thankfully when we went it was empty. I was absolutely impressed that despite being a open restaurant it was so clean and fly free! Washrooms were extremely clean too!Food is typical authentic south Indian. I enjoyed my best filter coffee of the entire corrg trip here.Small handicraft shop next to the restaurant. Kids will love it there. We stopped on our way back too..

Never venture in to Shivahalli MTR. No value for money. The quantity of the food was terrible and the taste was not upto the mark. They had served sticky upma and the coconut chutney was really bad. Big cheat to the passengers or the travellers...More

Visited for Lunch on way from Mysore to Bangalore. They serve limited items, however, taste and quality is very good and reasonably priced. Tried Thali and BiseBille Bhaat. Thali served with two Chappatis, appetizer, 3-4 Bhajis of different types, curd, Sweet, Rice with Sambar Rasam and Chaas. They serve fresh fruit juicies too. Has clean toilets.

We have been visiting this hotel many times since 5/6 years on the way to Mysore. The crispy masala dosa, idli vada, kharabhat, lunch & dinner is the high light. There is ample space for parking. Must visit.
