Contribuiți la feedbackIf they want to try some of the best foods of their life, they go to this place. this place should have '4' michelin stars. it is a very simple place, but they can see how everything is prepared with so much love and care, that they cannot feel the good energy of this place. and about eating, one of the best in living. and we had the pleasure of serving from the owner himself, who is a love, and his whole family who works there. real Cretan food.
This place is only exceptional. The owner cooks on wood stove and brings you so many plates of things he prepares with all the ingredients he produces in his garden. It was really excellent! We paid 15€/pp with water and a glass of wine. The plus of this place? You can see the farm of the owner and stroll in its olive tree field until your food is ready!
This meal really enjoyed it. Salad, lamb, goats, snails and roasted potatoes all excellent. Staff (man and wife? were very friendly and helpful. Not brilliant English, but much better than my nonexistent Greek! Would recommend 100
Once again “Ntounias” was a family restaurant that was in the possession of the tavern, the highlight of our recent visit to the island kreta! stelios and “slow cooking” are synonymous for the description of the ultimate food experience when it comes to traditional Crete cooking, we have been “Ntounias” on our search for slow boiled in wood-fired secrets. Since then, stelios has never stopped increasing the level of ultimate taste and quality. from homemade pure spice brot to raise his own viehs, to cultivate his own sweet, kartoffeln etc. and combines them with the unique cream herbs and the golden extra virgin olive oil, the result is the definition of “farm-to-table” ultimate dining experience! every single mile, for the visitors from Greece or the visitors from the remotest towards the world
My wife and I went to this small tavern as part of a cooking class run by Do It Like A Cretan. First off the drive out of Chania was amazing. Highly recommended taking the Therisos Gorge route for stunning views. Once we got there we were greeted by their well behaved dog Rex and the staff was very friendly. The food we had was probably some of the most authentic and traditional Cretan food we had all trip. Truly an amazing food experience all around.
