Suage Hokkaido Soup Curry - Changi

I finished my meal so quickly that I only got a picture of the soup! The food is very similar to what you’d find in Hokkaido, but the weather outside is humid instead of snowy. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Our waitress, Alicia, was a true gem. The spiciness level 7 is comparable to curry noodles.

The Hokkaido rice was truly delicious. You can choose the spice level of the curry, which complemented the rice perfectly. I ordered the crispy chicken leg, and it was delightful. The service was excellent as well!

Located in a peaceful corner of the mall, we chose to try this restaurant during a busy Friday evening. The food was delightful and gentle on the stomach, making it a great option if you're feeling indecisive and want something simple yet satisfying! I would definitely recommend it.

The restaurant wasn't too crowded compared to other dining spots in Jewel, and the table service was impressive. I noticed there was just one person bustling around taking orders and serving customers; he also managed the cash register and took care of clearing and cleaning tables. This dedicated young man even helped in the kitchen. There was only one other person in the kitchen who also assisted with serving. I can only imagine how tired they must feel by the end of the dinner service. Overall, our experience was quite good. We found the prices to be reasonable for the location, and the dishes we ordered were delicious, especially the Japanese curries. We extend our compliments and best wishes to these two hardworking young men. We would definitely return to support their efforts.

I tried the Japanese curry soup, which pairs wonderfully with rice. You can choose the spiciness level from 1 to 20, with levels 7 to 9 being the perfect balance (not too spicy, but very flavorful). While the curry flavor is mild, the soup itself is delicious. You also have the option to add cheese on top of your rice for just $1.50. However, there were only two staff members at the eatery, so the service was a bit lacking.
