Hue Cocotte - Chamrousse

Lovely cute place. I did feel like I was being rushed as apparently it gets very busy. Lovely booths to rent out. Ordered burger delicious! Ravioli (ham delicious but not like traditional way. Ham was on plate on side ; Nice lady! Thank you

The best burger ever! Traditional bread, good quality meat, local cheese and sweet onions: a pure pleasure! The cook is very talented, you can also test here all the specialities of the region with competitive prices. The owner is very friendly with everybody. If you go to Chamrousse you have to test it!

We (me, my wife and two boys) actually ended up eating here on two separate evenings, which to the credit of HUE COCOTTE is something we never do! We were served on both occasions by the owner who was very helpful and happy to recommend and explain the dishes for my vegetarian wife and fussy boys. On both visits the food was of a high standard and for that, hats off to the chef. As well as classic Alpine dishes, such as Tartiflette (which I had on the first visit) and Fondue (which both my wife and I had on the second visit) there was also a good range of French and Italian foods. The prices were reasonable, especially for the high standard of food that was consistent on both visits. Our apartment was situated in CHAMROUSSE 1700 and HUE COCOTTE is situated in 1750, which is a 10-15 walk but there is a free bus ride every 30 minutes that runs in a loop around 1650, 1700 and 1750. A small and cosy restaurant that was packed on both of our visits with a buzzing atmosphere! I am very happy to recommend HUE COCOTTE for an excellent meal!!

Was certainly not our first choice due to the very uninviting exterior! Pleasant surprise as inside was very attractive in a ski chalet style. Our party of 7 all had good meals reasonably priced and the alcohol was inexpensive. Our Raclette was good. The burgers and steak looked fine.
