Buona Sera Restaurant - Champlin

Went there tonight to celebrate a birthday. The server was very attentive, knew the menu and answered our questions. The food was so good. We all ordered something different and each one of us raved over the taste. The owner/chef came over to our table a couple of times. He was very personable. We will be back.

The service at Buona Sera was Amazing! Our waiter was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make recommendations based on our preferences. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Buona Sera!

My partner and I visited Buona Sera last evening. We enjoyed the food, it was good- nothing super exciting. But, we felt that there was a huge miss on our server’s part by failing to mention prices of items. Our server listed the specials to us for the evening and my partner ordered her recommendation of the Surf Turf with the Filet Mignon. We knew this menu item was going to be more expensive. But, our server never shared the price. We didn’t know the price until we got our bill. The price was $70, which caught us off guard as the rest of the menu items were all under $40. We know mistakes happen, but that’s a pretty penny to pay for what the quality of the dish was… and considering the cost of the other menu items. Specials usually aren’t any more than $10-$15 over the average price of a meal on a menu- I’ve been in the industry for 10 years and have never seen a rip off like we had. We probably won’t be back….just a bummer.

Had a fantastic dinner with my bride at Buona Sera. It was our first time eating here. We ate outside on their deck. Service was great. Food was delicious. We had Balsamic Chicken and Pork Medallions. If there was one downside it was dry bread served with the meal. Otherwise we enjoyed it all and would definitely return. We arrived at opening. The outdoor tables were filled within 30 minutes of arriving. The place is popular.

This place is an absolute gem. The food is incredible! And I love that the chef comes out and converses with you. It feels so comfy and elegant all at once. It can just get loud when its busy. But it means they are doing a great job here. I cant wait to be back!
