In the price for so little in the dish, the chocolate cake tastes and looked like a school meal for lil children, not tasty ... the place is just a tourist trap.
We stayed in bed and breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. The views of the Mont Saint Michel window were spectacular. Fields around the building were beautiful. Breakfast was very french petit dejeuner. Lunch was just delicious. We were treated very well. Would stay in a heartbeat again. Very convenient to Granville for tours.
We stopped here for lunch with a stunning, sunny view of the Mont St Michel and (unlike other reviewers, who had bad experiences) had a lovely time. The amuse bouche of a soup with mussels was wonderful and my foodie friend raved about it. We...both had good 3-course menus of the kind you 'd never find for this price in England (my café gourmand came with 7 little puddings) and the place was humming with French conversation. It felt authentic. The service was fine (the waitress wasn 't able to tell us what was in that soup, though) and the food was served promptly.
We had good lunch here. While the dishes were not memorable they were perfectly enjoyable. I had a tasty home-made fish soup followed by pollock in a citrus sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked, though a little overpowered by the citrus. My partner had a...lobster terrine and ray in a butter and chive sauce, again properly cooked and nicely presented. All the fish was fresh. Staff were professional and while service was a bit slow we were in no rush and happy to look at the view of mont San Michel and the bay. With desserts and a (cheap) half-bottle of wine our bill (for two) came to EU 80. This is not gourmet food, but its perfectly good food; I'd score between a 3 and 4. For a 4, either the bill should have been a little less or else the food a bit more memorable.
