Watson's Shack Rail - Champaign

When I eat at places as good as this, I realize I am too generous with reviews of other restaurants. 5+

Watson’s is awesome! Sam does a phenomenal job! The food is good, the bourbon selection is top notch. Such a great atmosphere of people! If you are not apart of the Watson’s community, you are missing out!

Awesome gumbo and pretty good old fashioned and Manhattan. Service was ok considering how busy it was. We were told to sit at the bar and our table would be ready in 20-25 minutes. Several groups came in after us and got seated and we never did get a table, even though the line tracker said we were still in line. Overall still a positive experience though.

Excellent bar and restaurant for some tasty chicken meals. Our service was a little spotty but in general it was a nice experience. We tried both the hot chicken and the white chicken, both were great. The highlight was our Brussels sprouts appetizer which was perfectly crispy and savory with a unique fluffy aoli. Bread pudding capped off the meal in just the right way.

Food was great however the service was intermittent at best. My group met around 12 on a Sunday and we waited about 25 minutes for 4 dishes.
