Mas Amigos - Champaign

The restaurant itself is clean and has been recently renovated. The manager/host was quite friendly and even changed the TV channel to a children's show since there were no other customers at the time. The menu is straightforward, featuring Tacos, Burritos, Torta, Quesadilla, and Burgers. Tacos are priced at $2 each, with some premium options like tripe and tongue available. We tried the Super Nacho appetizer, which was delicious—featuring freshly made tortilla chips topped with plenty of cheese. The salad and tomatoes were fresh, which is always a plus. However, a downside was the lack of utensils; we ended up eating most of our meal with our hands. The steak tacos were well-seasoned and not overly fatty. The tortillas were cooked perfectly, so I have no complaints there. Overall, I plan to return for the tacos, but I hope they start providing utensils by my next visit. Pros: fresh tacos, friendly staff, freshly made tortilla chips. Cons: no utensils provided, no fleet license, and no hidden offers.

I have such fond memories of the house that has been transformed into Torta. This place maintains that cozy, hole-in-the-wall vibe, along with fantastic food. The pork I ordered was just as satisfying as I remembered. The bread had a nice crust on the outside while remaining soft inside. My elote, however, was a bit disappointing. I should have expected it wouldn't be fresh corn on the cob, and the combination of corn and crema just didn't hit the mark for me.

Genuine, tasty, and welcoming. These are the best tortilla chips I’ve ever had in my life. The tacos were incredible too, and they were very accommodating regarding my cheese intolerance due to a sore throat.

The food was authentic and delicious. We tried chicken and steak tacos and a tortta. The place is on the smaller side, but the service is great and the food was incredible. Definitely worth a visit! Only the proposal I would have is to set a sign that says, please sit down to avoid confusion in entering.

I go here 2-3 times a week and these guys are amazing. Lingua tacos are my favorite,but if you get the chance try the fish and you will definitely not go wrong. Definitely in the running for top Mexican place in all of Champaign. Keep up the great work guys!
